Meet Lisa, my childhood best friend who made a special meditation video for us travelers on the Long Way Home.
Attention travel-lovers and aspiring travelers!
We all know the feeling of restlessness that creeps in when we're at home, itching to start traveling again. But we’re also familiar with the flip side: when we’re out on the road, feeling overwhelmed, craving the comfort and grounding of home. It’s the classic case of the grass is always greener.
Part of what The Long Way Home is about is learning to feel present wherever we are — whether we’re gearing up for a new adventure, deep in the middle of one, or just returning home.
Met My Childhood Best Friend, Lisa

This theme of duality has been coming up a lot in conversations with my childhood best friend, Lisa (we've been friends for 19 years!). Lisa and I have traveled to Colombia, Haiti, Mexico, and Cuba together. She recently returned from a three-month trip through Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia — and has now settled back home. We both know the rush that travel brings, but we also know how hard it can be to adjust to the slower, sometimes stagnant feeling of being home again.
To help with these very real struggles, Lisa — a certified yoga instructor, seasoned traveler, and meditation guide trained in Thailand — created a special meditation just for us. (See video at the top of this page)
Every week on her OSol Yoga Youtube channel, Lisa shares videos that help equip us with tools for feeling more grounded, less stressed, and more at ease with ourselves, no matter where we are. This week she made one especially for us Long Way Home travel-lovers.
We hope you can take a few minutes for yourself to practice this meditation. We're confident it will help you feel calmer and more centered — whether you're exploring faraway lands or settling back in at home.
